It would have been more interesting to hear about their histories. The Deep Fryer - Part 2 (Have in Spanish) 09. The Deep Fryer - Part 1 (Have in Spanish) 08. Some episodes are in Spanish or Greek: I am missing the following: 07. Rankin-Bass produced a lot of material, with their holiday specials and ThunderCats being their most successful properties. A collection of Tigersharks episodes from The Comic Strip (1987) cartoon series. To me this felt like a rushed episode in which none of the hosts had much interest in the series and it just made for a difficult episode to enjoy. It has its moments, but there are so many things wrong with that show that it’s difficult to watch. I was into SH as a child, but as an adult it’s just painful. It had more heart and intelligence than SilverHawks, which I also found very difficult to watch. I appreciated this exploration aspect of the show. Plus, all throughout the series we got introduced to other secondary characters and creatures on Thundera. New characters are introduced, including new ThunderCats who also escaped Thundera’s demise, and we met the Lunataks. Eventually the ThunderCats built a space ship and setup a home on New Thundera. Plus, some time had passed and Lion-O learned from many of his earlier mistakes, gaining less help from Jaga as the series progressed, from what I remember. He grew as a character, having faced the anointment trials against his peers, and ultimately facing Mumm-Ra. After the first season or so they stopped concentrating so much on Lion-O being a boy in a man’s body. Steve ventures across three oceans to reveal why this feared. The Eye of Thundera is correct, however.īesides the general continuity of the series, I liked the progression of the characters, particularly Lion-O, which you alluded to during the show. Watch Sharks Up Close With Steve Backshall Season 1, Episode 6. Just a correction as well, it’s the Sword of Omens, not the Sword of Thundera. You get 10 episodes of Tigersharks here.Youll also get:3 episodes of Karate Kat3 episodes of Street Frogs3 episodes of The Mini MonstersThese were the other three cartoons that aired on The Comic Strip. You will also get a gallery of all the Tigersharks toys. It was very brief and no characters actually made an appearance in the shows or became part of a storyline. The new ThunderCats from 2011 did include Mon-Star and one of the TigerSharks very briefly on a video wall in one episode to showcase creatures that existed in the ThunderCats universe, as I recall. I don’t recall ever seeing TigerSharks, but I had heard of it. It’s obvious that you’re not huge fans of the shows, except for perhaps ThunderCats, which in my opinion is the best of the three. You didn’t get into much discussion about the shows. Overall, well done and underrated, well worth looking out for.I was a bit letdown by this episode. The voice acting is fine, again like with SilverHawks Peter Newman and Earl Hammond are the most impressive. The characters are memorable and engaging, one of those cases where the heroes are more interesting than the villains, though the latter are still convincing enough.(with SilverHawks the villains were more interesting while ThunderCats was about equal). There are similarities of course to the previous two shows, namely the voice cast being practically the same for all three, but instead of being derivative I saw it as like a refreshing hybrid of both. The writing does encourage thought without preaching and doesn't feel cheesy like SilverHawks sometimes did, while the story lines are fresh, well-paced and fun. The music is great as well, the intro is very catchy and the accompanying music is fitting without being too cheesy or over-dramatic. The character designs don't always have finesse but are above serviceable overall and the colours and backgrounds are very attractive. The animation is of good quality, it is unmistakably 80s but that is not a bad thing. TigerSharks was a very well done and underrated series, unfortunately short-lived as well. I am very fond of all three of them, ThunderCats being my favourite. If you love ThunderCats, SilverHawks or both(I belong in the last category), you'll also like TigerSharks.
